Workshop Series: Witnessing Art Through Expressive Writing

In this workshop series, we invite participants to slow down and take time to reflect and renew through viewing artwork and the practice of writing. 

February 8
Part I introduces the practice of witnessing art through writing using inspiration from the exhibitions Farm to Table: Art, Food, and Identity in the Age of Impressionism and Tennessee Harvest, 1870s–1920s.
 
March 8
Part II asks participants to consider what the body carries using inspiration from the exhibition of works by M. Florine Démosthène and Didier William.
 
April 12
Part III invites participants to contemplate creativity, collaboration, and friendship, inspired by the exhibition David C. Driskell & Friends.
