Join artist and professor Yvonne Petkus as she leads this workshop on expressive drawing, inspired by themes of absence and presence within both "Michelangelo: Sacred and Profane, Masterpiece Drawings from the Casa Buonarroti" and "Phantom Bodies: The Human Aura in Art". Participants will develop a deeper understanding of the artistic use of the human figure by closely looking at and sketching from artworks in the galleries, and expanding on their own ideas of absence and presence through a series of working drawings. They will then build on these pieces to produce a final drawing.
