Adult ARTlab: Picasso and the Portrait

In this workshop with teaching artist Robert Scobey, students will learn how Pablo Picasso approached the portrait throughout his career. Participants will explore the evolution of Picasso’s many styles through works in the exhibition Picasso. Figures, and then create their own portraits, using acrylic paint and collage. Students will deepen their understanding of Picasso’s artistic processes and explore how to express a range of themes and emotions through stylizing a portrait.
